Retract filling valve

I am in need of two filling valves but I would like them to be the same as my first one.

It is from Unitracts and just utilises a standard tyre inflator adaptor.

Does anyone know where I cand get these adaptors so I can make my own fill valves

Cheers

Mike

Mike,

If it's just the standard car type stem, your local tyre fitting place should have a big plie of old ones they've taken out to sell people new ones.

I'm sure they'd let you have a couple

Hi mate

Do they have a threaded end on the other end as I would need to screw it into a ali block

Cheers

Mike,
The Unitract fittings have a festo connector at one end and a Schraeder fitting at the other. By using the supplied nuts the fitting can be fixed to a ply or aluminium plate. Unitracts is still in business, albeit on reduced hours, so couldn't you get the proper things and save yourself some trouble?

As I recall, the tyre valves are brass & threaded along their whole length once the moulded rubber is cut off.

I was going to suggest Unitracts, but I though that was a bit obvious & would be bordering on facetious!

Phil Clarke at Fighteraces sells them too.

Rob,
When you get to my age, stating the obvious and being facetious bcome natural!

Hi guys

Got two from Phil at fighter aces.

Removed the small nipple and the inner of the valve tapped the end 5 mm and fitted a 4 mm festo fitting.

Cheers
