Hey guys, Im currently putting together a 3rd scale balsa usa stearman but not sure on engine choice for it! I currently have a Dle 111 that Ive recently took out of my 3rd scale extra. This engine could comfortabley prop hang the 28 lb model at just over half power. Does any body think this would be suitable for this airframe??? I would like it to fly scale and not like a toy attached to a monster!??
Whats you guys think???
engine choice!!

Re: engine choice!!
If you look at Richard Rawles 1/3 scale Balsa USA aircraft, they are fitted with DA150 power units and the aircraft have superb performance throught their flight envelope.
I always believe you cannot have TOO much power ! We all have a thumb and its nice to push the stick forward KNOWING we can get out almost ANY situation !!

Re: engine choice!!
Mine flew very well on a 3W120 so I would think your DLE111 would be ok for scale flights.
