Large model transport

Postby Tony Read » August 29th, 2012, 11:54 am

I would love to have larger models but only have a Vauxhall Astra hatch for transport.

It would appear that my options are to buy a van just for models (with the added expense of tax and insurance), ditch the car for a van or get an enclosed trailer. I'm more in favor of the trailer, but how do you guys do it?

Caravan + awning. When you arrive assemble awning and empty model parts out of van into awning - so you can get in!

Hi

Large box trailer, this also doubles up as storage and even a temporary workshop, just depends on how large and how many models you have

Did I mention I also have a trailer for sale :D :D

Ford Mondeo Estate :D
Can fit 2 90" WW2 Fighters in all camping stuff including fridge and wife for the shows. Normal flying day 42% Extra 300 fits in great along with a couple of other 65" hacks. Also reckon i squeeze a Comp ARF Eurosport in with the Extra. bit of a tardis really

5ft sq x 12ft long trailer.................

Have had 2 x 120" twins + 5 x 80-90" warbirds in here all together with some careful racking. All fuel and flight boxes in as well plus camping gear in the front locker.
