probably an easy one for most but........
what is the best prop to use in a zenoah 62? i have been led to believe a 24x8 is best. the engine is in a greenley with a 22x10 and is destined for towing duties.
thanks in advance

Both are good, the 24 x 8 gives best static thrust and would be best for draggy-bi plane types and will give good vertical performance will also slow plane down more at tick over for landing and in dives.
22 x 10 will rev slightly higher and will fly smaller/less draggy planes faster but will not have such good vertical climbing pull and will not slow the plane down in dives like the 24 x 8. I have used both but favour the 24 x 8 for my scale planes.
If you are contemplating towing then the 24 x 8. In the above I am talking abot wooden props ie METZ and SMART only. In Biela 23 x 10 (carbon fibre covered wood) is good for Mejzlik (full carbon prop) a 24 x 10 may be OK possibly a bit heavy but good on 3W 60cc and 3W 70i.
For your plane I would use 24 x 8 as I assume you will do arobatics and the even cimb and dive speeds you will more easily achieve with this prop look nicer.

I have just put a 24x8 on my 1/3 rd cub instead of a 22x10 and I must say I like it much more. It is much nicer to land and the ground handling is improved immensely. I could not get it to slow down before. Now it is a joy.

For towing with a Greenley I advise a Menz 24 x 8 if running a stock sliencer. This will give a good climb angle and good prop breaking when returning from height in a steep dive.

Depends on the plane and purpose. Zen 62 in a warbird 22 X 10 all the way. towing i would use a 24 X 8. speed not needed but pulling power is.
Hope that helps
