Is there an alternetive IGN. sysytem for the Z20. A replacement costs £130 , that's more than halfe the price of a new engine.Wondering if there is a cheaper one that works.
Symptoms of mine. After storing for the winter I attempted to run the engine. It will not start by hand.
It will run at speed if started with a n electric starter that will spin it up fast, but then it will not throttle down, it just splutters and stops. A unit from my second engine is fine. It has to do with the advanced and retard control. Any suggestions before I purchase a new one.

Barry - Apache Aviation do a Zenoah replacement system. I've done a couple of Zenoah mag conversions with their units and no complaints.

Big thanks chaps. Ordered IGN system from Apache Aviation Wed. Arrived to day, fitted in 1/2HR
works perfect. Thats saves me about £100 compared to a Tony Clark one.
