Hello new to the LMA and also new to petrol engines as well . just got a brand new ngh 35cc engine and can't get it to draw fuel to the carb . iv had the front of the carb off and removed what I think is called a reed valve and was able to get it to start but not rev as when I rev it it starts to push the fuel back down the fuel line and then back in to the tank can any one help me please .

Hi Luke, If this a brand new engine then you should get the carb carb changed under warranty as there is obviously a fault and
you should not be expected to have to repair a newly purchased item.
If for some reason you cannot do this then get back and you will find that there is a lot of info on these carbs on the forum, some of which I have posted myself.

Update got to the carb and engine has now had around 45 mins of run time . Turns out it's was a valve like gasket thing that was miss cut so I have now trimed it and now the engine is running good thanks for the info tho it is very much appreciated thanks Luke

I am having a similar problem with my Zenoah 62, although not new, it has run satisfactorily in the past. I have recently converted this engine to run on electronic ignition in an attempt to make starting easier. This has been successful as far as generating a heathy spark, but I am having a problem drawing fuel into the carb. The carburettor is fitted to an 90 degree elbow and yes the channel from the engine block through the elbow is unobstructed and clear.
Because the engine had not run for a number of years I decided it would be prudent to renew the diaphragm gaskets and rubber pump gasket. Everything looks ok, everything is pegged to it is not possible to fit them wrongly or is it? Any ideas to solve this problem would be most welcome.

hope you get your problem sorted with your carb . im now installing a air speed censer and some other telematory items in my new Seagull super marine spitfire 79.9inch and am looking forward to flying it at longhorsley on the 17th sept .
