Custom in cowl exhaust fabrication?

Postby martin collins » December 1st, 2017, 8:28 pm

I`m looking at a couple of petrol engine options for my Bryant Hawker Fury, top choice at the moment would be an NGH GT17 which should be more than enough to give it good performance and it will fit onto the current engine mount but the silencer is a side mount. Pitts silencers are available but space behind the head is also limited, do forum members make their own in cowl silencers to get round this problem. I am proficient with a MIG welder, is their any advice or thoughts anyone can offer?..............Martin
