Arthur, without knowing the HP of the motor you could take a guess at using a prop size similar that you would use on a Zenoah 38 which would be in the range of a 19x8 or 19x10 & go from there!

Most likely a Ryobi 32cc. These were the standard engine for conversion. I have one lying under my bench if anyone fancies a cheap motor. 18x6 or 16x8 would suit it.

It’s Alan Cantwell, and you got them through me, not from me, All Ronnies engines ran, he was a tinkerer, who spent very little, hope you get them back in the air,

They are not powerful, Arthur, but run steadily and reliably. I ran one for many years in a DB Sopwith 1/4 scale Pup, You had to use a starter to get it going but it was perfect in that.

Alan, are you talking about THE Ronnie, and has his estate still got that weird and wonderful ornothopter thingy ? I remember Ronnie trying to make that fly one summer evening at Withernsea - That was the finest / funniest evening entertainment I have ever seen !

Ronnie Winder Glen, he is 90, and quite frail, didn’t see any ornythingy, but there were lots of things that did not have things to go with them!
Ronnie, I might add, told me to keep some gear, sell whatever I wanted, and do with the monies what I wanted, I elected to donate some to the northwest LMA field, we need a roller, which will forever be known as Ronnies Roller

Ronnie used to turn up in the moggy with a small covered trailer. He slept in that over the weekend and his models went under the tarp at dougies . give him my regards Alan when you next see him.
