Walbro Fuel Inlet. Removeable?

Hi All,
On a Zenoah 38 when fitted with a carb bend, the fuel inlet is turned to be adjacent to the exhaust and points straight toward the silencer. In use the fuel pipe softens in the heat and kinks, cutting off the fuel supply (and it a potential fire hazard)
Pic for info shows the fuel inlet on another Z38 carb without carb bend.

Can the fuel inlet be removed and repositioned at a different angle? I thought that I remembered something about this on the forum some time ago but I may have dreamt it.

I've tried gripping the inlet with pliers and it feels rock solid so before I broke/ruined it, I thought that I should seek some advice from The Collective.

Thanks in advance.

its a tricky job stuart but can be done. the plastic nipple is pressed onto a splined brass spindle. dont try to twist it as it will probably split open. grip well and pull upward, reposition and press down until it clicks into position. Hope it helps . .
