Hi Guys,
I have a Quadra 42 in my spitfire but she has lost some grunt over the years so i want to fit a new piston ring,
I know of a place over in the states which still carry parts but does anybody know of anyone in the Uk????
Or anybody who has one they willing to part with?
Cheers
Allan

I do not know any commercial suppliers of Quadra parts in the UK. A few people like myself have some spare parts from salvaged motors but I do not have a piston ring for a 42. I suggest you go direct to Bill Bennet (probably the contact you have in the USA). I have always found him prompt and efficient but he does respond better to a phone call rather than email.

Have you tried your local purveyor of chainsaws/power equip? They may be able to match something up. A friend of mine got a ring for a Q52 from one. Most of these engines were at one time a commercial power unit.
Just a thought.
Cheers, Dave.
