Large Model Association Forum

I'm building a Svenson 1/4 scale Stampe. Are the flying / landing wires structural or just for show? I do know that on the Precedent version they are structural, and the fittings in that kit were more substantial. I can find nothing in the Svenson instructions to indicate anything either way. When the model is assembled, it does feel very sturdy without the wires. Any suggestions will be most gratefully received. David Jones.

Always flew mine with the wires attached, lovely model sold it on a couple of years ago, still flying I think...........
