hi
I have a Turnigy 20x8 propeller turn up and the pre drilled hole is larger than the Zenoah 38cc shaft by about 1mm ( guessing not measured yet) how can get this sorted ? Looks to small to machine a collet , in the past I have used metal from drinks can as a shim to go around the shaft for zero play . Has anyone a better way to tackle it ( when I say better I mean more elegant) thats fairly easy to do ?

Brian, various model suppliers sell tube shims to make up the space. PropGuy are one of the suppliers I use. In the past I have drilled out the pre-drilled hole to match the shim and slid the shim onto the shaft and then the prop onto the shim. One tip is to ensure the shim is slightly shorter in length so that when tightening up the prop bolt you actually grip the prop and not the shim.

Thanks Cary Propguy has a pair for £3 not worth finding a piece of shim or brass for that . Then if I break a prop press them out into spare .
Cheers
