Although a lot of effort has been expended to create this forum, we are only human and may not have created all the topic titles that our users need.
If you consider that an additional one is required, why not make a suggestion as to what it is here; no guarantee that we will do this, but it will give an insite of needs.

How about a section on what leccy stuff is used in these large models i.e radio gear and how they are set up ? Dual recievers spring to mind as do opto isolators and the like . Confusing for anyone new to this .
Just branching out into this area myself and must admit that I can get this info elsewhere if I search for it but the correct place for it has to be on the LMA forum .
Just a suggestion .

Is a " Radio Gear " section needed in general .
Radio matters are becoming spread out among different posts not always obviously related , which results in repetition sort of. and having to read through every single post ( not neccessarily a bad thing ) but time consuming.
Hands up , my own Radio Q. may be in the wrong bit ?
The facility to edit and amend personal posts in this Forum is excellent .
Do the Admin have to be contacted to request a removal of personal posts ? lest the context or general flow of the thread be spoiled ?
apologies if I have failed to spot the obvious.

Morning Shane,re info on gear installation etc,i must have suffered a memory lapse, quite common these days
There already exists a most comprehensive and informative booklet by Doc Keith Mitchell which imo says it all!
To many of us it is our reference"bible" .perhaps if you ask nicely he will send you one
regards ,Roy.

Please add me to the wish list for a Radio Topic thread.
****************************
I am now 70 years old, been an active aeromodeller since I was eight, SMAE for a lot of that time, a BMFA member for the whole of the time it has been that, LMA member since the first or second year.
As a result I have built up quite a knowledge base in my head but this is of course largely limited to my experiences.
As far as 2.4ghz goes my two years plus of experience with Spekky tells me that (tongue in cheek) if I wished I could take a battery pack, lipo, nicad, nimh it doesn't matter, tape a speed controller on top of it and then an Rx on top of that, velcro the whole shooting match into the model as close the the motor as possible, brushed or brushless, inrunner or outrunner, and I could fly with impunity without as much as an 'excuse me' from the model let alone a glitch.
On the other hand if I was contemplating building or converting a large model to 2.4ghz I wouldn't really know where to start in order to conform to LMA/CAA requirements.
I know I can ask but it would be nice if I could build my knowledge freely as I read the Journals and Forum of the specialist association to which I have so long subscribed.
