Is anyone using or considering using a ‘portable battery’ type of power pack with a life/lion type battery in for charging at the field?

Are the days of generator, petrol can etc over (it certainly is with madam in the car!). I will charge it up from a 220v mains source at the end of the day.
All advice welcome.

Our club has a solar-panel on the roof of the hut. which charges a bank of car batteries, which then charge LIPO batteries via a 12v output from the car-battery bank, which is stepped down to the appropriate voltage and current by the charger.
