Folks,
I have been away for most the shows this year due to work commitments and i went to much marcle last weekend on sunday and it was a great show as usual, it is deff my favourite show of the lot.
But i noticed no one was flying any electric planes at all.
Unfortuneately because i was out the country i was too late to book in as a pilot so was not able to fly.
I know a lot of LMA members have electric models they fly after the show, But dont seem to desite flying them during the show.
Has interest in electric flight wained or is it as they not Large models generally that they seem reluctant to fly during the show?
My personal view is that even though large models that are electric are still out of most peoples budgets etc, but i think just having standard size models flying in the show not only attracts new members to this wonderful hobby, but i believe it makes entry into this hobby a lot cheaper and easier for most.
So many of the traders at LMA shows are electric flight only specialists but even they dont display there models.
I appreciate there are not trade slots at the shows and this is not a bad thing, But it still bewilders me as to why people dont seem interested in flying at the shows.
Any thoughts on the subject?
