Flaps controls

Postby Chris Lane » June 3rd, 2009, 7:21 pm

Futaba T6 series transmitters have now abandoned the flaps lever/potentiometer for a switch. As I use take-off flap and various landing flap settings on one model it is now tied to an ageing 35mHz transmitter. I can find nothing on Futaba.com or Ripmax to suggest options for this. Can any of our radio experts advise whether I can simply exchange the flap switch for a potentiometer on my 6EX 2.4 gHz FAAST transmitter. What value pot would be needed and could the same trick be done on the undercarriage switch please?

thanks guys - Chris [2938]

Chris

I had exactly the same problem with my 6EX so contacted Futaba direct and was told there was no way to replace the switch with a pot or even a 3 way switch as it is a "binary" channel.
Over to any electronic guru's for a solution ?

John
