Private Messages (PM)

Tried to use this service a couple of times recently, however the messages get as far as the 'out' box, then sit there for ages; the one I tried to send yesterday has been there for nearly 24hrs.
I've tried logging out, even re-starting the PC, however nothing seems to shift it.
Any suggestions?

Thanks - I assumed it was like sending an email, ie goes into the sent folder pretty quickly.

They may not have the recieve pm notices box ticked, but there should he an email option as well, if they have given their email address
