Sunday 12.30 pm. We've got about 2" or so here in S.E. London, it started to thaw a bit earlier but as the temp. has dropped a bit so it's stopped. some of my mates at the Bickley club have gone up the flying field, got a text to say "lovely day to fly your new leccy Wot 4," My answer, "Too old, too cold"!
Been all white here(Iceland) since the end of November, all gone now and a perfect day at the field today! The most has been something like 18-25" of snow coming down in 24 hours, so pretty standard winter(apart from the last decade or so) stuff realy.
Vince, it's all about getting to the field mate and having a cuppa!
Hugh--its hard to believe isnt it---you would expect snow up north where you are,we travelled down to Cosford today in freezing fog, arrived at the airfield to see a complete blanket of snow--no flying at all--and when we came out of meeting after lunch it was lovely sunshine---crazy weather
Hi Sverrir, you know your a young hardy type of chap, I'd of probably been keen 20 years ago Henry, Dean and Keith flew their leccy stuff at Bickley, I was a coward and stayed in and watched the telly, here are some photos Henry took, hopefully the snow will be gone when you come over in July, just DON'T bring any with you
