My little piece of heaven

Well just to give us all something to talk about, I thought I would show you my little piece of heaven, “or as I like to call it, my escape to sanity” that sits at the bottom of my garden. This is a place that ‘her who must be obeyed’ is not allowed and after the miserable Christmas break, ‘weather wise that is’, my little shed has been a god send. .

So where do you escape to when you get the chance? Post a picture and let us know.

Hi Dave, that's a cracking looking workshop you've got there, looks much better than the normal wooden jobs, what type is it, where do they sell them, and if not too cheeky, what sort of price would it be?

I'm asking as I desperately need a garden workshop as opposed to my small narrow loft, and your one looks the dogs :D

Mind you, I don't have a side or rear entrance to my garden, it all has to come through the house, so depends how small the parts are!

A friend of mine who has been retired for a few years says that his shed/workshop saved his life. He reckons that his wife would have killed him years ago if he had to hang around the house all day!!!

Hi Vince, as far as I know you can still buy them they come in all sizes, mine is 12ft x 8ft and cost at the time around £400 if my memory serves me right. I got mine though a catalogue my wife was running at the time and paid cash for it. I have seen smaller ones in the likes of B&Q and Home base, so I am assuming you can still get the one I have, it comes flat packed with a big bag of nuts and bolts.

I have had the shed for around 8 years now and I have to say it was worth every penny, I send most of my weekends in there when the weather is bad with the heater on just tinkering away I even sometimes update the website and forum in there as it is nice and peaceful.

Dave I agree I think I would be divorced by now if I couldn’t escape. 'Wait a minute'; that where I am going wrong, okay one shed up for sale.

Hi Dave, thanks for the info, that sounds just perfect for my needs, and at a sensible price too, although I expect to pay a lot more now days.

Just had a look on B&Q web site, and came up with this, which I think is similar.
