Okay I thought I would start a little bit of fun here, inspired by Mr Bonzey.
So let’s hear your best excuses that you have give to your other half when they have spotted your sneaking your new purchase into the garage or shed?

I bought some lovely scale wheels from America about twenty years ago about £80 plus post, I sent the cheque with a message please put on the receipt £10 so the wife don't find out as she keeps opening my parcels. I came home one day and she said there's a parcel come for you, it was open and there inside was the receipt for a tender, and the ugly old cow never found out, been happily divorced for 15 years now

To be fair my wife doesn't complain ! only my wallet does when we go shopping and she say's she has nothing to wear. Its easier to comply than rock the boat.

Confucius says 'if you are in the right relationship you won't need to make excuses'.
She will have interests of her own that will counter and balance the time neccesary to add to British air defence.
If she has none other than you, the cats, or Eastenders, you are in for a tough time.

I remember that, It was so funny at the the time.
£80 then was a lot of money for a pair of wheels though.

My wife (bless her) asks me if it is OK to go for the weekly shopping for food! She also asks if it is OK if she buys a blouse or something from places like Sainsburys! She does not like shopping for clothes and does not spend any more than £10 on a top! She hates me buying her expensive clothes but never questions me when I buy anything! My last purchase was a rather expensive Lipo charger, she just said I'd had a delivery & was it for my plane? Yes dear I replied!!
