Christie Parachute Jump

Postby Colin Leach » September 1st, 2015, 8:45 pm

This post is to thank all the LMA members at Bruntingthorpe last weekend who gave generously for my forthcoming parachute jump in aid of the Christie. All together you raised a further £158 for this worthy cause, which changes so many lives each year. Thanks again.

Hi Paul,
It's tomorrow (6th), at The Black Knight's Centre in Cockerham, just South of Lancaster. It's an organized day of jumps for the Christie, and possibly other charities too. The Weather's looking good, so should be fun!
Cheers,
Colin Leach

The jump went very well, on a glorious sunny day with light winds. I did the tandem jump from 11000 feet with the first 6000 feet in freefall. Great views over Morecambe bay and the Lake District in the distance. Overall the exercise has raised just under £2000 for the Christie so all in all an excellent and worthwhile day.
