Re: 3W 684 help
I would think that the value of the 3w 682/Weslake unfortunately would be low , its too specialised , way out of the range of all but a very few modellers .
The expertise needed plus the size of a model to cope with all that power is really limited.
If you add in the workshop facilities , storage and transportation needed ,safety aspects , plus the time and associated high costs and the need for a team of people to operate this size of model , it supports my thoughts.
I have Weslake 342 cc engines , one in a half size Nieuport 28 and another in a 80% scale Chilton Dw1 monoplane which push the limits of modelling .
Best regards Ian Turney-White

Hi Ian
Thank you for you're reply. I'm familiar with both you're beautiful models and always been a fan of your Chilton.
When you say the value would be low
How low are you talking about?

Re: 3W 684 help
I recently bought a Weslake 342 cc motor in good condition for £100 , it needs an electronic ignition system fitting .
and I need to check the bearings ,but the bores, pistons and rings look fine .
Its difficult to put a price on your motor , definitely way of mainstream , condition could be from a useful doorstop to a pristine
example ?

Mine is older than that one, not sure on year.
