Postby richard armstrong » May 27th, 2017, 6:10 pm

WoW, it almost June, already, (stating the obvious), half way through the year, Cosford on the horizon, time flys these days, look forward to seeing all there.

Well its July now.

Cosford is pending. Does anyone want us to bring any spices to Cosford for them. PM me if you do.

I don't know about "spices"
I would prefer a great big LMA sign and arrow pointing to the "correct" way in!!!
Then I don't end up doing the caravan drive of shame through Cosford village... Along with the other 40 caravans and motor Homes!
Yes you know who you are! :D :D :D

Access details have been provided to everyone booked to come.

There is no public access to the airfield before 18:00, and only at Crash Gate 2, the gate just after the railway bridge at Cosford railway station as per the map below.

As the RAF museum have very little caravan parking available, please try not to arrive before 18:00 as there is nowhere to wait. As Cosford is an active RAF base, these are the access arrangements we have to work around their operations.

So we still come down the same road as we've always done and its just a different access gate? I haven't managed to get there since it all changed!

Thanks
Scott

Yes, drive past RAF Cosford, past the Railway station, under the railway bridge and straight in through the gate from 1800 onwards.
