We had some very heavy rain on Friday night, but thankfully it has not effected the field. Cut the grass today and it was nice and dry.

A great event.. blessed with the best weather I have encountered since the summer of 76.. damn it was hot and humid!
So glad I made a weekend of it and took my caravan!
It’s hard to think back to last years blown out event with 40+ mph winds.. (all of us hanging on to the marquee for dear life!

Never heard so many pilots say... “it’s just too hot to have a fly.. I will wait till it cools down tonight!”
Thanks everyone!

Well done all involved in organising a lovely laid back fly-in. It's been 40 years since I last flew there, but it was on the lakes when I used to fly seaplanes! Such nostalgia!
Thanks again & see you next year!

What a great weekend, Big thank you to Ken Richie and the team for looking after us all weekend. We never seem to be happy with the weather its ether to windy too cold or too hot to fly :D :D :D

Joking aside the skies where never empty for long, I hope we continue to have this weather for the rest of our events up and down the country. I had some scary moment with a night flyer that doesn't seem to want to fly, or was it just me

Great friends, great banter, too much falling down juice after the night flying, laughed so much my sides ached. At work now felling so tired but hay, well worth it.

Here is one for you Cary Bailey, more to follow on facebook later.

After the sad demise of Mr Blobby, who had a run in with Mr Plod at the Teesside event, which resulted in a mid air encounter (Mr Plod is in intensive care but is responding well to treatment), we seem to be having a run of bad luck with the late Arthur Searl's old planes. This weekend saw the demise of the Yellow Submarine.

It was a great turn out, most pilots just relaxed and flew as and when they felt like it.
