Camping spaces are filling up well for the Cheddar event but looking through my paperwork there are a couple of regulars who have not yet booked in.
Everyone is welcome to camp or attend as a day visitor. Full details are in my original post (above).

Only a couple of weeks to go until the GS flying camp at Cheddar. There are still 2 camping spaces available for anyone who would like to join us for the event and of course, everyone is welcome to come and fly with us for a day or more.
For those who have not been there before, it is a superb flat site with no obstructions and is suitable for all types of model. Whilst there will no doubt be some gliding going on with tugs available to tow any size model, you are also welcome to bring any other type of flying model and enjoy some stress free flying.

Please read and follow the directions to the site for a safe and trouble free journey. Do not follow your Sat Nav and avoid going into Charterhouse especially if driving a big vehicle or towing as the road from there to the site is unsuitable for such vehicles.

Directions
From the A38 Churchill traffic light junction take the A368 to Blagdon. After approx 1.5 miles turn right onto the B3134.
After 5 miles turn right at the crossroads onto the B3371
Just after passing the rifle range on your left turn right at the crossroads to Charterhouse (a small road !) follow the road up the hill for approx ½ mile and turn left into Warren Farm.
Drive along the access road into the farm yard and turn left through a gate into the field. Follow the track around the left hand side of the field and enter the flying field via the gate in the corner. Please do not drive straight across the field as in previous years.

Road signs are good along all of the route and clearly visible and marked with the road number

It is possible for people travelling from the south to access the site from Cheddar by driving up through the gorge but the road is quite tight, steep and with lots of tight bends with cars parked on the sides of the road so is not recommended if driving a large vehicle or towing a trailer / caravan.

Satnav works fine coming in from the east of the site :)
