D-DAY model event Shipdham airfield Friday the 9th of June

D-DAY model aircraft commemorative event
which will be held at Shipdham airfield, near East Dereham Norfolk.
on Friday the 9th of June 2023. The events will run from 10am until 6pm, electric only after that.

The event will be open open to ANY scale model or ANY jet.
More details will be added nearer the events.

A fullsize flypast has been requested for this event.

As in the post ANY scale model including foamies.
We will have foamie slots, WW1, WW2, inter war, Jets, Gremlin, etc etc.

Dear All
Just over three weeks to go until the D-Day event at Shipdham.
I have a meeting with Shipdham flying club this Saturday
to sort out the logistics etc.

If anyone is interested in attending could they post below please.
So we have a rough idea of numbers.

Shipdham airfield has no valid postcode but the King's cafe has.
The cafe is very near the airfield. The postcode is IP25 7NA
If travelling from the direction of East Dereham turn left
at the King's cafe onto Letton road.

The entrance to the airfield is less than a mile on the left.
If travelling from the direction of Watton turn right at the cafe.
There is a security gate at the entrance to the airfield.

I will post arrival times after I have had the meeting on Saturday.
The event is open to ANY scale model including foamies etc or ANY jet.
Hopefully we will have several Black sheep Sqn. present.
I do enjoy that slot. There will be a Gremlin slot.

As always there will be a minute silence at mid-day for those who gave everything.
