The Northumbrian Model Aircraft Society ( NMAS ) are pleased to announce the dates for their 2 fly-ins for 2024.
The first will be a 4 day event from the 24th - 27th May with flying from 10-3- until 20-00 each day. Entry to the site is available from PM on the 23rd with departures on the 28th.
The second will be a 2 day event on the 21st - 22nd September . More details on this will follow latter. More details will follow latter this year.
Details of the May event are as follows. This is an LMA event which will be held at our Long Horsley, Northumberland venue which is located approximately 20 miles North of Newcastle. This is a green field site with an East to West runway approximately 200 meters by 70 Meters. It is suitable for all types of aircraft with Jets being flow on a regular basis. We also have a mown area near to our club house which has a veranda and this can be used for large model storage overnight. We will also be providing toilet facilities and we have running water on site. During the event we will have available examiners if you wish to take either of your flying proficiency tests.
Being an LMA event there will be no charge for camping and pilots will be given a food pack for the Saturday evening BBQ. BBQ packs will also be available for families but there will be a £5-00 charge for these.
We would encourage you to join the LMA prior to the event, Membership is £40-00 and can be applied for on-line. Membership as well as covering this event will also give you reduced entry fee's if you attend other LMA shows this year and It also covers entry for our September event.
As an added incentive If you wish to travel around 60 Miles south the following weekend we have the LMA first show of the year at Redmarshall which is located just outside of Stockton-on Tees. The camping site there is available of the 28th to allow you to go directly from our event to the Teesside show.
