Wanted: large 40-50% Cub style wheels

Hello everyone,

Hope someone can help. I have a large 3,5 meter wing span Decathlon. It currently has the Dubro 1:3 scale cub wheels fitted which measure just under 6” diameter. They look too small.

Ideally I would like about 8-9” diameter but still retain a wide realistic cub, radial grooved look.
Bill Hemple 50-60% wheels are no longer available and scarce on used market.
Airtop do a suitable diameter but don’t look wide enough or realistic enough for my desired look.

Any pointers appreciated.

Thanks in advance
Trevor

Have a look here. The MOQ is too high for your usage but they do say they do samples at a higher pricing. Worth the time to send a msg to them at least.

I bought a 9" pneumatic skate board wheel/tyre which is very strong and a reasonable weight , about 36oz in weight ,think about 2.75 " wide ( from Trampa Boards )
Plus have some caravan jockey wheels which are just over 9" diameter and wider , maybe 3.25" wide tyre , with nylon/plastic hubs , weight about 30 to 32 oz each
Hope the above helps , beat regards Ian Turney-White

A caravan dealer may have the jockey wheels , typically about £15 each or you could try Ross Handling or similar outlets ?

I needed some 8" wheels last year. I bought four scrap electric scooters for £20 as a job lot. The front wheels were 8" inflatable with alloy hubs and ball bearings.

Originally they were treaded tyres but I sanded the tread off to smooth. Can't really help with the grooved pattern
