Wanted - Retracts for topflight 1/5scale p51d 40-60cc version

hi all

wondering if anyone has got a set of Retracts for topflight 1/5 scale p51d 60cc version, and/or a tail wheel retract

Richard, the TopFlite P51 that you own is originally sized to fly on a 38cc motor or a US Engines 40cc. You can fit a larger motor in but will require quite a bit of modifying at the front end and wing strengthening.

the website stated 2.5 -4.2 cu in = 39.9cc - 69.9cc motors,

not decide on the motor yet but aiming 50cc in the middle. but i may change that to less, i am open,

Bigger engine does not mean flown faster/harder, the modern petrol motors are lighter and probably less vibration than the old industrial units-its how the throttle and any energy generated is used...
