When I when to pick up the basket Case t240 from the late rocket Ronnie in the rubbish pile there was a Supermarine type 322 dumbo has anyone got a plan or a 3 view or any pictures of the model I am missing the outer wing panels I think it is quarter scale but not too sure I have to cut the tail off to fit it in and some one cut the nose off to get the engine out

I knew this plane in the 1990s when it was owned and flown by Alan Hinchcliffe. He bought it from Roy Salter who was the Original builder, i think. It was a quite stable flyer but didn't do much other than fly circuits. The prototype was built as a torpedo bomber i think by supermarine ( on a bad day). I think i have some photos somewhere, some were taken at our local field and some at catton hall. i will try and find them.

Wow, I too remember this model, at a RR Hucknall scale day, late 90's I guess, it landed and on the taxi back careered at a leisurely pace into the pits, T boned my Mustang. The prop 'shark gilled' all the way up the leading edge of the wing and only stopped when it hit the retract unit. I don't remember or even know who the pilot was but he didn't even say sorry!

Whats the plan, you getting it going again??

Google Image search for Supermarine Type 322 Dumbo comes up with a 3 view straight away.

Ian.

The sawn off nose will be delivered to Haydock, I honestly did not think anyone would want to take it on! The spinner is also there, the zenoha 62 is in my parts bin, for bits, the crankcase was Bust,
