Ziroli DC3 Dakota NOW SOLD

With great reluctance, I am offering for sale my Ziroli DC3 Dakota. Built and finished to a high standard, the model will have been seen at the LMA shows and in the journal and national magazines. Powered by two Zenoa G38's (magneto version), swinging 18" x 10" 3 blade props, the model flies beautifully. The engines were meticulously run in and are completely in sinc.

Robart retracts and tail wheel.

2 x JR 920 receivers, powered by 2 x A123 Life batteries, with JR heavy duty switches.

Hitec HS-5665MH servo's on all control surfaces and tail wheel.

Std servo's for throttles, air valve and lights.

Full scale cockpit (illuminated) with 2 x "Best Pilots" figures.

Landing lights are 12v halogen bulbs, powered by a 3000mah Lipo battery.

Detachable tail plane halves for ease of transport.

Full panel line and rivet detail, the model was glass clothed, and sprayed with automotive base coat paint, then finished with a coat of satin lacquer.

All LMA and CAA paperwork is up to date, the exemption certificate expiring in August 2019. There is a full build history in the "Your New Projects" section of the forum, and a shortened version in an article in the Spring 2015 issue of the LMA Journal. Although the model is now into it's fourth show season, it has had comparatively very little flying time.

I am asking for offers in the the region of £4000. Can take to Cosford / Elvington.

Without doubt, this is the finest Dak in the LMA, it’s a shame Daves decided to sell it, but come along and see it, everything about it, the model, gear install, the radio, everything is top class, have a game of count the panel lines and rivets, you will never do it!
