Large Scale Dakota Kit - SOLD Subect to Collection

Postby Ron Wylie » June 28th, 2018, 12:36 pm

Very nice large scale (1/14th ?) Dakota with lots of moulded parts. Believed to be a full kit but not 100%. Accessory packs with wheels, u/c, engine mounts, tanks, etc. Plans for wings, rudder and tailplane . Wingspan just over 2 metres (approx). Extra engine pods for some reason. Needs to go as this is taking up a lot of space! Can meet within reasonable distance of N.E. Lincolnshire (River Humber coastline) or can deliver anywhere in the UK for the price of fuel (50 mpg Diesel estate).

Hi Ron, what you have there is a piece of aeromodelling film history. Designed by David Boddington, these models were produced for the TV series 'Airline' with Roy Marsden in the early 80's. Ruskin Air Services was their livery. You seem to be missing, unless its bits are wrapped up, the centre section of the wing which was built up in conventional style. They flew very well and looked great. I want to watch the series again now!!

Ian.

Thanks Ian. There are a lot of wood packs which I think maybe the middle section. Remember the series, it was wonderful. Now who is going to buy this piece of history?
