Message Body:
My father Leonard Pearson recently deceased and left a scale model of the 1912 Blackburn Monoplane which he made himself in around 1970. It has an approx 9 foot wingspan, some dust damage and a couple of holes in the silk. The wings have cable attachments as the original and it flew by use of radio control. I can forward photographs of the plane should any of your members be interested in purchasing it. It would be great to see it fly again.

Thanks for posting the 1912 Blackburn Monoplane on your forum for me, I have already had some interest.

Here are photos of it, perhaps you could also kindly post them on the forum, so folk can see what we're talking about?

I am asking £400 o.n.o. and the plane is in the West Midlands.

Hi Lynne,

Thanks for your previous help with trying to re-locate the Blackburn Monoplane Model. A few of your members got in touch but did not want to buy it.

Various aviation museums have been contacted but no luck so far and time is running out for the Blackburn as we are about to complete the sale of my dad's house where it is currently stored, and have no where for it as my brother and myself both live in small accommodation.

Help!

If you could put it on your forum again, this time emphasising that it is FREE to anyone who can collect it from the West Midlands I would very much appreciate it. It would be such a shame to have to destroy it and perhaps a few members could team up on its collection and repair?

I attach photos again in case you no longer have them.

Thanks, I look forward to hearing from you,

Sue Pearson
