Solartex is back.

Postby Paul Rice » September 8th, 2018, 12:56 pm

Hi Guys just an update as i've seen a lot of posts looking for Solartex.
It is now distributed through Solarfilm go to solarfilm.co.uk all colours and quantities in stock and its as good as ever, i have used a lot recently and very happy with it, just a little more expensive but why compromise on the integrity of your model for a few quid more.
Best regards,

Unfortunately there’s no mention of solatex on the new site.

That's because they don't make "Solatex". :D

They do make Solartex and it is here:

Email reply from Solartex.....

Hi

We do have stocks of Solarlac but unfortunately we can not send this via Royal mail or our carrier.

Do you live near Chorley, Lancashire, you could call in at our premises if
this is an option?

We are also attending the Old Warden Model Aircraft Show on 22nd and 23rd September also, we will have stock of Solarlac there also.

Sorry, I can not be any further help.

Best Regards
Valerie Hardman

Chaps, having spoken to Solarfilm today, it seems that they are only selling off their stocks. Manufacturing ceased in March as they chose to close the business after nobody has come forward with a business plan to purchase the company. Therefore get your Solarfilm products now, once they're gone they're gone!

Got to say...
Ordered 5 metres of “antique” Solartex from solar film.co.uk on Monday...
paid by PayPal..
Arrived “on the roll” on Thursday!

Get it while you can!

I will mourn the passing of Solartex.. ARTF’s have left a lot of of destruction in their wake!

There is an alternative, oratex, almost identical.
