Looking for a Pitts Special, around 1/3 scale for a 50cc. Let me know what you might have for sale and where you are in the country. Airframe ideal but would consider other variants. Thanks for looking.

Steve, I have one, I think it’s the ASM one, they did a Lancaster and b17? It’s been hung in a conservatory as a display item, it needs work on the fittings, but, the scale outline is there, and it’s priced to go, £75, Oldham, lancs,

Hi Alan, that’s a really great offer thank you! The ASM is 1/4 scale and that would mean I would need a new engine. Obviously that could be an exciting purchase but I have a DA50R spare so wanted a 1/3 scale that would give it a new home. Thanks again though, at that price I suspect it won’t be around for long!

I will measure the span, I am only assuming it’s the ASM one, it’s bigger than 1/4 scale, 1/3rd for the S1 should be 68”; leave it with me

Been considering the Great Planes, they do (did) a Pitts and an Eagle. They went well on the 50cc’s. There is also Byron and I think Pilot may have done one a long time ago. Its possible the DA might be ‘adaquate’ but I’m not a bonkers flyer so the airframe would be treated with care.

Alan Sergusson once had a big Pitts for sale, his own design, wonder if he still has it? Plenty of the pyrhob types around, I know someone with one of those for sale, would a round cowl version do? It’s a 50 cc Pitts Python, complete, new, artf, ready to fly, it’s £550, models near St Helens, will try to get some picks of mine,

Hi, think I might now be sorted. There is a Great Planes 1/3 scale up for grabs just a few miles away. Going to see it this week. If it doesn’t work out I shall most certainly reactivate this thread. Thank you for all the help and suggestions.
