I intended finishing this one, as I just love this aeroplane, as I do all of the Bucker aeroplanes.
The Bucker Bestman was used by the Luftwaffe as a general purpose aircraft, mainly for ferrying staff around.
(There was one featured in the film "The Great Escape" One was stolen by James Garner, to fly him and Donald Pleasence to safety but it ran out of fuel and crashed.)
This one has sat in my loft, with the "one day ..." tag, I'll never get it done, and a shame, as Krick were the only company to kit this aeroplane.
it would be nice to move it on to a builder, as it is a rare kit, of an aeroplane you never see modelled, designed to fly on a 0.40 engine but in these modern times, it would be a great candidate to convert to fly on electric if you don't do I.C. It would make a great unusual model. It would need a bit of updating in some areas, as it was designed with the old fashioned "Bell Crank" system to operate ailerons & flaps,
I am asking what I paid for it all those years ago, which was expensive at the time but rarity costs money, so £80 all in, complete, including the original box, only thing missing is the plan, although tatty, I loaned it to a well-know WW1 LMA member who was going to scale one up, and never got it back! (if you buy it I'll tell you his name
