I would like to thank all involved in the organisation and running of the Cosford show. The weather was not kind but the show went on. Managed to unpack everything and even dry the awning out today.

I just want to echo those thanks for what turned out to be great weekend when the forecast said otherwise. As a pilot it was stress free and very enjoyable - especially the Fighter/Bomber Balbo's!

The Balbo's were superb to both fly in and spectate on. I believe it was 12 aircraft on Saturday and 15 on Sunday. I hope someone got footage or pics of it. Nothing on youtube yet other than the pyro glider.....which was damn good I might add!!!!

Just my second time at Cosford this year, I thought it was the best display so far this year.
The display was heading towards being similar to a fullsize show with just a couple of aircraft up at a time in some slots enabling them to be shown off properly(two blue, bent winged machines spring to mind). The "Balbo" was great fun and must have looked great from the crowd line, even the legendary Mike "chocky Booth took part.

Was the Lancasters pass just as the lone piper finished a piece of co-ordination excellence or just coincidence? who cares? it was spot on.

Would also like to add my thanks and appreciation to all involved in organising and creating this years Cosford,what a great event to have been part of despite the shakey start on Saturday when I feel sure we all thought that the short straw had been well and truly drawn weatherwise.
Regarding the flying side in my opinion the best yet from both a spectating and participants point of view,the sheer variety and professionalism of the displays is hitting new heights only possible by the exclusive use of 2.4 Ghz,can you even imagine the nightmare of trying to organise those fabulous balbo's on 35mhz !!!!
Personally along with my wing man Dave Pearson and the two Corsairs we had our most enjoyable flying yet,along with the banter throughout the weekend with the likes of Mike Booth,Jon Horne and others over the merits or othwerwise of the glycol-cooled British thoroughbreed versus the air-cooled American lump - great stuff,it's what the hobby is all about.

I gotta agree, this for me was the best show that I have flown at for a good few years. The whole weekend was just great fun. Really enjoyed my flying too. I was pleased to be part of the Spitfire 75th anniversary and on the Saturday my Spit made its 3rd year anniversary flight which was kinda nice to do.
But, most of all I wish to thank all those that made the weekend happen.

Trevor, Ditto in reverse.
You know though that I am very pro British and RAF and cannot understand the somewhat general obsession with US aircraft.
However, as a scale model flyer one is always working towards total realisim or hoping for that.
You and your wingman Dave have achieved that with the Corsairs.
There is also a lesson to us all in the standard of preparation and and general approach to display.
Well done, I almost feel like building a Nakajima 'Frank' just to hassle the pair of you in the slot.
Therefore I have to say it was worth going to Cosford just to see the Corsairs fly and witness something that looked 'as real as it gets'.
On a more general note many thanks to DJ and the team.
As for the Baldock Squadron, well I'm thinking it may pay to have an oxygen cylinder and breathing mask at future events on Saturday nights, such are the comedy antics.

Hi Mike,
Many thanks for your comments about the Corsairs,much appreciated,talking of flying the flag if I can locate a suitable power plant ( the 4 stroke radials do spoil you I'm afraid ) I could be tempted to join the Spitfire brigade - looking into these kolmengines which seem a possibility.
Again an excellent Cosford with some outstanding and memorable flying displays,will be good to see some of Neil's handywork of the event.
