BMFA Insurance

Postby Vince Raia » November 26th, 2011, 10:56 am

Hi all, if there are any LMA members that are insured through the LMA but would also like the extra benefit of having BMFA insurance to allow them to fly at other site where BMFA insurance is mandatory, and you don't want to pay expensive club fees, there is an alternative.

I run my own BMFA club, we do not have a flying site but is run solely for people wishing to belong to the BMFA without paying expensive club fees.
We have been established for a number of years now, and with myself there are about a half dozen Scottish members that wish to be BMFA affiliated. The club is registered as a London Area Club, (because that's where I reside) so you get the backing of the very proactive London Area should you require any assistance or advice for your hobby. This also saves you having to become a Country Member, whereby you have no say or voice regarding voting and other matters concerning the BMFA.

The BMFA Insurance will run alongside your LMA Insurance which will give you complete full coverage access for wherever you chose to partake in our hobby.

Membership to the BMFA for the coming year costs £31 for adults, we charge a modest extra £5.00 to cover admin costs, so for £36.00 you can become a member and receive all the benefits of the BMFA whilst still retaining your LMA insurance.
