SHORT AGM REPORT

For all the members who couldnt make the AGM today---just a couple of main points to update you---after a record year for LMA finances,the renewal subs were set at £20 if paid by the end of January--£30 for new members,plus £12 for SAA associated members renewals,and £20 for new SAA members--renewal papers will be in the XMAS journal out in December.Several new flyins will be funded next year,Southport in the north west,a new proposed one near Hamilton in Scotland alongside the M74,the re instatement of the Garden party at Catton ,plus the new flyin weekend at Longhorsley---plus all the existing ones from this year.If you know of any other suitable club sites with committee interested in supporting a large model flyin,please contact us with a view to funding and adding to the LMA calender.The insurance has been upgraded to £25m cover and we alongside the SAA have decided to stay with existing insurers for 2012 after consultation with independant advisors.Long time treasurer TED has retired after 12 years,so any inspector etc who needs expense claims sorting,please await journal when the new treasurers address will be printed----DAVE J

just got in, its a long walk back from cossy, thanks for organising the workshop viewing, never knew the welly bomber was so big!! great day, must go soak my feet!!! please thank the lady with the apple pies, she has added a few inches to my wasteline!! deliceous!!

Having spent all morning trying to reconcile the payments that I received with the membership renewal forms at the AGM yesterday, I am £20 over which means that somebody has not handed back their form or has got their new card from Mike without one. If you think that this could be you, PLEASE get in touch then I can check, otherwise it won't be until the Spring that I find out who it is when they don't get their Journal.

Alan, it's a long time since I was referred to as a "young lady" - you've made my day. Just finished updating the 94 renewals from the AGM - got loads of dates of birth and email addresses, so it was well worth doing the renewal forms and the records are looking better now.
