I have the very same John, its going in my YT stuka, so far, its only had bench runs, only problem, and this seems to apply to a few rear carb motors, they are a sod to choke, but, it runs nice, ticks over nice, and its been no bother, i dont think its the most powerfull motor in the world, but hey ho, its ok for me, and if you had had a wander round at the sell nothingmeet we where at on saturday, you would have spotted a similar one for sale, either Paul, or shaun bought it for 40 quid

Thanks Alan
I believe it was Geof Dale that had the motor, and he said it was not very good in some aspects. I however need 2 to put in a recently aquired QV P61 Black Widow that had 2 ASP 91.
Which have you got or are the RCG and RCGF the same as one looks like back plate mounted and the other looks to fit on a normal engine mount.
Thanks for the info.
Regards
John
Thinking about going the the swap meet at Retford on sunday.

Hi Alan,
Plenty of us got some great bargains there, but it was light on buyers.. most was probably done by the sellers . I sold a number of items, but spent £40.00 more then I took, !!!! Good job I'm not in retail.....

I bought the engine ( 26cc) for £30.00.. worth it for the ignition unit.

Re the running, ....the breather pipe for the diaphragm was blocked solid, the plug was a little loose and it looks like it has been run with too much oil in by the gunk around the plug. Also the plug cap wasn't fully located home, (but this may have been caused when it was removed from the model) ,so I'm not surprised , it may have had the odd issue as John mentioned.
It has bags of compression, no slop or strange noises when it turns over. My mate has one and it runs well... I'll find out how this one behaves this weekend....

Shaun
