I have been looking for an easy (cheap) way of making a large canopy without the need for vacuum forming and plugs etc. On channel 4 there is a programme featuring Guy Martin and his quest for speed, on series 2 episode 1, in an episode called 'Tandem' the team had to build a streamlined tandem bike which required a large perspex canopy. They molded one, very large and so simply. Take a look on Channel 4 catchup and 15.23 minutes into the programme is the process. It only lasts for a few seconds but if you freeze some of the frames you will see exactly how it is done. We probably won't need such large canopies so forming smaller ones should be that much simpler. Now whose electric cooker hob rings can I borrow?
