solafilm Prymol

Postby Arthur Fielding » February 16th, 2020, 5:01 pm

Hi
Due to Solafilm no longer really trading, no one seems to have any Prymol ( unless any one knows different)
Now many years ago in the time of cross ply tyres and inner tubes,we used to mend punctures with a puncture repair "kit" Called Tip Top,and part of this kit was a clear liquid used to clean the rubber inner tube before applying the glue which was left to dry before applying the patch. I can remember thinking "this stuff smells just like Prymol"and never gave it any more thought ,that is untill now.I am asuming that Prymol is just a made up name and wonder if any one knows just what the liquid really is ,and if you can buy it under any other name, and if so from whom.
Thanks for your time
Reguards
Arthur.

Try Halfords, they do puncture repair kits, and they also do plastic etch primer (for car bumpers).
Cheers

I shall take a look at my one and only tin of it and see what is in it.
