Osbournby 'scale' fly-in

Postby Mike Booth » September 26th, 2010, 11:21 pm

Big thanks to 'Dickie' Scarborough and his club for a great day out.
It was worth the 336 mile round trip just to see the Charlie/Phil Clark, Seafury...utterly awesome and its British.
Also the carnage of the 'Mayhem' flight.
Highly entertaining.

Well done chaps, DFC's and Bars handed out.

PS. as Jonny and me approached, in convoy, the sign 'Welcome to Linconshire' for the second time in a month, ( Nats at Barkston last Bank Hol)
There was no surprise to experience what one can only discribe as a complete *****kin change in the weather, from 8/10ths cloud with sunshine, into polar hurricane conditions.
You could of almost drawn a line across the road.
I would also like to speak with the road planning and signage department of Grantham Town Council. p*%$><:?ts.

Deepest joy Lincs county.

Mike.

Seconded - an excellent day (despite the weather!) Dickie, many thanks.

Flight of the day has to be Charlie's Sea Fury - absolutely magic. Beautiful aeroplane, flown to perfection.

Here's a video of the complete flight from Dave P (sorry don't know his surname but Mr Magoo on RCMF)

Fantastic or what?
