Calling all non BMFA or BMFA county members

Postby Vince Raia » November 15th, 2010, 9:04 am

Hello all,

If you do not belong to the BMFA, or a club,or are an LMA member but would like to join the BMFA through a club rather than just being a country member, Perhaps you want to fly at a BMFA event but need their insurance, read on:

I am the Chairman of the "Flightline Model Aviation" we are a London Area based club but do not have a flying field as such.
We have four Scottish members who wanted to be in the BMFA but did not want to be Country Members, so it does not matter what part of the country you live in.

We have been established for nearly ten years now, originally started as I was the London Area Sec. and as I had left my London Area based club, I needed to be in a London Club to retain my job.

The Club was started by my friend Peter Griffiths and myself, Peter has stopped the hobby as he is hoping to move over to Aussie land, so I have now taken on the running of the club.

So, the reason for this posting is that if YOU would like to join a London Area based club (and not be out in the cold on your own) we are looking for more members.

At present we only charge a nominal £5.00 admin fee + your BMFA subs, and you receive all the Minutes from the London Area BMFA etc. to keep you up to date with what's going on, also you have a voice and a medium to express your opinions and views to the BMFA without the expense of belonging to a regular club.

If this is something you'd be interested in, please PM me Vince.

I have had another two Scottish modellers who have joined our merry band, so if you live in Scotland, and want to belong to the BMFA through a London Area Club, please PM me where you will be most welcome to join our group.

Thanks,

Vince.
