LMA Genesis

Postby Andy Boylett » December 2nd, 2010, 5:47 pm

Gents,
I have little idea as to the history of this model so appologies if the following has been discussed before. As I am now building one I have found that it is very difficult to actually get a complete kit of pieces.
- A short kit containing only the cut parts, canopy and landing frame are available from Belair.
- Belair are not able to supply the other sheet/strip, balsa and cyparis material sneeded.
- There is no list of what else is needed so you have to work it out.

I have had to order all the remianing materials from SLEC, who have as always done a great job.

Suggestion. If the Genesis design was given to SLEC for them to sell they could supply a complete kit of parts (as well as the short kit).

Cheers, Andy

Hi Andy, the Genesis was designed by Belair, so I can’t see them letting Slec doing a kit, on the other hand Slec do supply the Sky-120 which is a complete kit you don’t have to buy any extra wood balsa etc.. Both models are great so it is up to buyer which they want.

Have you asked Belair to supply the sheet and strip wood? Reason I ask is, he can supply it with 'other' kits, or he could last time I asked!

Yes, I tried Leon at Belair first and he said he could not supply the strip needed as he did not stock it - particularly the cyparis/spruce. He suggested SLEC :D

I would suggested them too.....i bought a 17' lancaster kit from Slec.....i am now 80% finished...Iain helped many times with extra wood because of my mistakes  ..they are a superb company to deal with.
