Hi Roger, thanks for the kind words, I have to say I have has some very positive comments on email about the New LMA Newsletter, it is little thing like that, which makes it worthwhile spending all them hours doing it, thank you all,

Roger we have sent out paper copies to all them members who have not updated there emails or don’t appear to have one, this will be there last chance to renew their membership or update their information, after that there will be no more Newsletter sent by post.

Good idea resurrecting the News Letter. Many years ago when I was editor of the Journal we only produced 3 per year and we decided that members required more info and updates about events. The interim 2 or 4 page issue called 'Contact' (Ok! corny name but very apt) was sent out to all members. Postage cost was same as a letter, we only had a few quid in the bank then, and it worked until the association was able to afford 6 Journals per year. With electronic mail now it costs next to nothing to inform members and it is great to see that non computer folk are looked after with print outs from other members. I know the Journal is a super production and the LMA should be proud of it but 3 per year to cover photos at main events etc from the summer flying season is probably adequate, especially taking print costs now into consideration.

Calling Mr Parry.

I feel forgotten and neglected  I noticed that my E-mail address had been spelt wrong on my renewal paper. it had been spelled hanger instead of hangar. I corrected it but have heard nothing. I'm thinking of going on strike.

Hi Dave, the Newsletter was to try and fill the gap between the Journals, I didn’t know it had been done before; “contact” that was a good name, nothing to be a shamed of.

Sending the Newsletter by email was Lynne Roberts the Membership Sectary’s Idea, which reminds me I must thank her for all the extra work she has caused me, we didn’t know if it was going to work but thankfully it did, I have to say BT class me as a spammer now.

We did send some 300 plus hard copies out but most of that was due to members not updating their emails, this won’t be repeated with the next Newsletter otherwise we might as well do another Journal, so if you want the Newsletter make sure you update your membership details.
