Cosford Show

Hi all
I've heard rumours in my club that there is an informal fly-in, for want of a better word in the evening after the crowd have left at the Cosford show. Is this true?
If so, is it open only to LMA members, can any aircraft fly and can models be flown on 35mhz

?
I shall be camping the weekend and wondered if worthwhile to put a few models in the boot of the car.
Many thanks

Sounds interesting, certainly worth watching.
Anyone any thoughts about model flying though?

Stuart--sorry for the late reply--as ALan said,we have been away at events since Friday.Normally there is no flying at Cosford after the show because of the Gliding ---BUT--the air traffic organiser offered to control after hours model flying in between the Full size glider take offs and landings---it will be limited and under their control, but better than non at all---Also ,we have arranged for an aerobatic full size glider display with pyrotechnics just before dusk for all campers/pilots etc staying on the airfield--i am told its a spectacular display so all welcome to come onto the crowdline to watch.
As always, there will be NO flying at all in the campsites on the airfield, whether it be shockies or whatever, they all damage caravans ,and NO 35 meg at all,we have no tranny control running after hours so its 2.4 only---hope this helps---DAVE

Dave, thanks for the reply and I hope you had a good show weekend.
Wouldn't dream of flying unless in the right place and under the right control of the organisers.
The glider display sounds like something to look forward to.
Many thanks

Dave,Mr Johnson,Sir, you may know that I am a tight, moaning wrinkly, but do LMA members get in at a reduced admission charge at Cosford,if so all the more to spend with the traders.

Told you bossman would be here, and no one sounded arrogant, it was just one of those situations that could only be answered later on
