Fantastic!!! And as I've always said, when we fly warbiards at shows, THEY SHOULD BE DISPLAYED, not floated around the sky. At the legends show they 'give it some' and they all look the nuts!! Scale comps are for throttled back warbirds, shows are for 'givin it'. Not the whole time I agree. Two slow passes are good with one of them being the landing!

Checkout this link and play the video of TFC's P47, turn the volume up to 11. Great to see it moving about, does this mean it'll be flying soon? If you know how to check the register you can find out if it has a permit to test.
As for the Legends clip, fantastic. If you like fullsize warbirds why on earth would you want to fly at Stow Maries that weeknd? I hear some people say that Legends is always the same and it gets boring, I don't think so, every year theres new aircraft and it's the best airshow outside of the US. If you get bored by it then perhaps you could take up watching TV as a hobby that way you won't be out a good events moaning nor will you be causing congestion on the roads

Gregg has a good point here, when you go to a fullsize show mostly the aircraft are displayed on their own or in pairs, this allows them to actually be "displayed". Personally(an I know I'm not alone here) I would rather see one or two model warbirds in a slot being well displayed than seeing eight of them fly round in an oval, I don't think this truly represents the aircraft. I think last years Nat's showline was close to acheiving this. With the jets if you get Ali, Mark Hinton or the Red Arrows guys flying a solo it's well worth watching, in Warbirds Gregg and Mikes duo is spot on as is the Corsair duo. Maybe quality not quantity could be better veiwing for the public. A good solo display can be completed in about five minutes, so on that basis lots of models could still be flown in a day. Having said all that it must be a flippin nightmare organising a show and trying to decide who does what only to be let down at the last minute by people not turning up.

Smaller groups is something we as a team have gone back to. We still have slots where we put 6 up but we split into two teams of 3 meaning that the formations can be slightly tighter and that there's more time with models at the front i.e not all 6 aircraft on the base leg... This is something we will certainly be employing again this year. Makes the job of calling trickier but also much more important. We can't just fly 2 and 3 ships alone at most shows as we don't get enough slots for that and some team members would lose out if we did.

Duxford legends have large group displays too (spits spring to mind), but they are flown fast and often in a tail chase format. The main point again though is that they are displayed.

• Sea fury doing full length of the flightline 4 point axial rolls
• Bearcat doing high speed climbs rolling all the way
• Polikarpov doing loops with flicks on the top (seriously!!)
• general thrashing and cutting corners to take the lead

It all looks amazing and they put on a cracking show. If they flew around in circles slowly it would soon get a tad boring, other than the balboa of course.
