Workshop Images please?

Just moved house and now have a decent sized double garage to set up as my workshop.

I effectively have a clean sheet and could do with some ideas and inspiration before it fills up with planes and other household items.

Hi Simon
Here are some pictures of my garage/workshop. It measures about 20ft x 18ft and as you can see there's room to have a car in and still be able to build. In the winter when it's too cold to build I collapse the main bench and can then get a second car in and still have access to the two smaller benches for minor maintenance.
Hope this helps.
David

Before I messed it up.............

Garage measuring approx 22ft x 10ft. Single thickness brick construction with 2" rockwool and 3/4" ply on all walls. Insulated 'Horman' garage door, plasterboard on the ceiling with 6" of rockwool between it and the flat felt roof. Still gets cold in the winter, but 30mins with a small oil filled radiator has is usable.

Thanks for the images. Very nice workshops guys. The central workbench seems a common idea that works well.
Already realised just how cold the garage can be so will take a look at boarding the walls and adding lots of insulation.

I used some kitchen unites as the centre bench in my 5x4m workshop . I made a wider top and on the back of the unites I built 6"deep storage shelf's that take ice cream containers filled with me junk and stuff..
Works really well. I bolted the unites together and it can be moved around as one if needed. A centre work space is a must I have found.
There is a 2ft bench on two walls and a 3ft one on the third all full of junk most of the time.
Heating is via a gas boiler and radiators, about 3 million plug sockets everywhere. Fully insulated and lined out in 9mm MDF then pained. The floor is 1" white polystyrene with 3/4 green chipboard flooring on top.
I have also put a half decent HiFi system in there as well and a decent compressed air supply that will run most air tools.

Nice Man caves by all.

Attached images show the starting point of a nearly empty workshop when we moved in. it is now filling up with all sorts of junk as we continue unpacking and I still dont have a plane here....

Any suggestions please?
