Decathlon thoughts

Postby Chris Bradbury » June 25th, 2012, 5:12 pm

Looking for feedback from anybody that flies or has flown large Decathlon models.

I'm considering a 150" 40% Decathlon, but am concerned about how it'll fly on windier days, eg the 10-30mph region. Although experienced in large models, the closest/biggest I have of a high wing type is only 80", being my Hangar 9 Taylorcraft, which really gets bounced around on a windier day.

Basically I'm happy flying large aerobatic models in wind, but don't want to set up a large model that can't fly when I want to because there is a breeze.
